There is no doubt that 3D printing is going to take over the world in the next decade. I mean, being able to print out a pair of flip-flops is a whole lot better than going to the store or waiting a few days for them to ship, right?
It took almost 30 years for televisions to go from black and white to color. Now, only after a few years we have the world’s first color 3D desktop printer from BotObjects.
The new ProDesk3D, which looks like a sleek and modern orange juicer, is one of the most advanced 3D desktop printers on the market. Over the years, the objective with consumer based 3D printers was to make the process almost akin to pressing print on a regular ink-jet printer, and with this new model we are nearly there.
All you have to do is plug it in, download the software to your computer and the ProDesk3D will even auto calibrate so you that you don’t have to go through any additional steps, which usually seems par for the course with newer technologies.
This 3D printer is also faster than all the rest and more accurate, at up to 25 microns, which in perspective is about a quarter that of a strand of hair. You’ve also got what makes this printer so revolutionary: the proprietary 5-color PLA cartridge system, which mixes all the primary colors so that you can print out 3D objects in any shade of color you want.
Aesthetically, BotObjects has done more than just build they world’s first full color 3D desktop printer, they have built a 3D printer that looks like a 3D printer: lustrous with an anodized aluminum safe casing and an orange tinted window that looks into the printing platform. There is no pricing information on the website, but if you visit BotObjects there is a form to “register your interest” for the promised flurry of information that is soon to come.
