This fully automatic sliding door, activated by an ultrasonic collar, opens when your dog approaches and conveniently closes and locks airtight after it passes through. The direct approach sensor is so intuitive, your dog will be walking through like a Jedi in no time. And unlike traditional swinging pet doors you won’t have to worry about intruders or critters getting in or your heat getting out.
If you’re comfortable cutting a 3 foot hole in your wall or door, installation is a breeze. The unit is powered by a standard wall adapter with a 6 ft cord (included) or you can spring for the optional 12 volt rechargeable battery (for an extra $60) if you plan on going the door route. Once you’re powered up and running simply set one of the four access modes – in only, out only, in and out, or closed and locked – and tune the separate adjustable activation distance for both the inside and outside sensors.
Listen, I don’t know why anyone without a ton of free time would get a dog anyway but, if you did, giving it the space to run and a way to get there when you’re not around is the absolute minimum any dog owner should do so, do it.
