Holy Smokes, it is High Noon!
Are you telling me that my iPhone can become lethal six shooters that are unholstered, like lightning, to strike down fellow iPod wielders in the OK corral?
The “High Noon” App literally takes Apple’s touchscreen devices back into the western frontier days for an addictive shoot-em-up showdown game. Over 4 million players duel online with their own custom persona and their iPods.
The free “High Noon” application is one of the App Store’s top downloads, as it combines the quick hands motions that are associated with wielding a gun in the old west and the fun online community of cowboy and Indian-like avatars!
The game does require an email address to immerse one in the online community, but then it is all fun thereafter. Take a persona and personalize it with mustaches, scars, cigars and various weapons.
The player starts off taking down various computer players to level up and achieve more objects to buy with the reward money attained from victorious bounty hunting.
As the varmint stands before you, the player must holster their iPhone, as if it were the six-shooter it appears to be on screen, and then draw it and press the screen on the roving bad guy to take them down. Once you’re out of bullets you must pull back the gun and manually press in each bullet to continue to win the day!
The “High Noon” App has millions of players vying to go toe to toe with one another in a challenge of wrist reflexes and fictionalized guns. I’ve just spit fictional chewing tobacco juice, in my excitement!
