Hear that Crackle? Free Full Length TV & Movies Are On!

What are those Crackle sounds everyone is hearing?

Well the “Crackle” App provides for an array of free on-demand movies and TV for your smart phone or tablet.  And these are popular shows too, like Seinfeld (the world’s funniest program about nothing).

How good could something like this be and be for free (yes that is a terrible rhyme scheme there, but I am excited with this one, folks)?

Well, the “Crackle” App provides movies and TV from all genres – from Ghostbusters to the Da Vinci Code or from Dr. Who to Married With Children.  These are available on this uniquely cheap and easy program that instantly turns a portable electronic device into a TV with Netflix-like capabilities.

Just think about when the frequent flyer in you has already left your body for a spacious cruise ship in the Bahamas, and in reality you are stuck cramped on a plane that will not land because the air traffic controller is asleep at the switch.  Fire up the bluesy Cadillac Records film right from your iPhone to enjoy some of the remaining hours aloft.

The HD stream is impressive, so let me get the big question out of the way here:  is there a catch with “Crackle”?

In a manner of speaking, yes there are two.  Firstly, there are two or three sixteen-second commercials that play during breaks on TV episodes, which are very easy to live with if you ask me.

The second catch is a matter of exclusivity, as the Apple customers once again benefit greatly from their loyal use of the iPhone and iPad.  But wait, “Crackle” is on the Android and other various networks’ phones too, so what is the problem?

The “Crackle” App, in all of its intrigue and entertaining bliss is available for the iPad and the iPhone as a completely FREE service and program.  There are links to buy the movies or shows on iTunes, but that does not prevent the streams.

Android phones have a free “Crackle” App, but it hisses (metaphorically) as it is watered down and bereft of Seinfeld and most of the great movies and shows that come with the Apple version, and these are the ones you would be most likely to watch.  The excellent selection is available to the Droid population, but at a price of five bucks.  Sorry guys, but it is still worth it, even for the money.

Break out the phone or iPad, and view uninterrupted classics such as “The Bubble Boy” Seinfeld episode or the epic Otomo thriller Steamboy.   Just do not let your brain Crackle with joy!
