Army of Darkness Defense Equals Ash Killing the Undead

Bruce Campbell is Ash again!  Load up the boomstick and rev up the chainsaw for some undead slaughtering in the Army of Darkness Defense game.

The official Army of Darkness application from Backflip Studios takes an over-the-top movie platform and forms a gorgeous and intuitive hack-slash-and-spell game.

The graphics are beautiful as multi-dimensional environments provide a fun space to kill the hordes of armored skeletons that have besieged Lord Arthur’s castle and are frantically trying to get their cold dead hands on the evil book of magic:  the Necronomicon.  A real depiction of a gargantuan moon often graces the sky and follows the onslaught of action.

The game lacks nothing.  There is an original music score, explosive sound effects (from the boomstick and the rolling heads, of course), a near-infinite supply of deadites and many fun references to the Army of Darkness movie.  Familiar characters include Arthur, Henry, Sheila, the wise man and even Evil Ash!

There are myriad spells to use and Ash can all upon many of his own allies (swordsmen, knights, archers) to help him battle the fiercely skeletal foes on the castle walls.

The Army of Darkness Defense game is currently free, and the creators have purposefully made the game easy to control so that anyone can enjoy the cutting up of the skeleton’s limbs and the humor that followed the cult classic hero Ash.
