If you’re looking for a quick solution, Hidden Safes, based out of Tennessee has created an easy to install 14” x 8” x 4” wall mounted vent safe designed to drop into any wall with 16” on center framing. Simply locate your studs, cut out your drywall, fasten to your structure and you’re done.
The unit opens and closes by way of a quarter turn fastener hidden in the louvers. With a flick of the wrist the panel folds down revealing the secret compartment inside.
It’s clearly an awesome idea, the only problem is the hefty $260 pricetag. For some of you that might not be an issue (congratulations), for those of you who have some loot worth hiding but don’t have that kind of budget, there is nothing stopping you from heading down to the local home center, picking up a little duct work to create a box, a vent cover to match your homes décor, and getting a little DIY creative this weekend.
