Presenting a new $11,000 dollar coffee machine called The Blossom. A trifecta dream team that includes some of the best and the brightest minds in the land has come together to combine science, engineering and art to make an “insanely great” cup of coffee.
The team includes inventor Jeremy Kuemple who has a mechanical engineering degree from MIT and work experience at Apple and BWW, chief engineer Matt Walliser who says he’s been building robots since age 10, and lead product designer Joey Roth whose credentials say he’s redesigned the teapot.
In my day I’ve seen engineers and scientists come together to create some pretty unimaginable things. I can only begin to imagine what they’ve done to the ol’ coffee brewer and what the coffee actually tastes like. Using technology seems only the most appropriate way to make a mind-blowing cup of joe.
The Blossom boasts a whole host of amazing functions including Wi-Fi connectability and a 1.3 MP camera for QR Code scanning to download and share brew recipes and monitor the machine remotely. And the reservoir self-fills silently with line pressure, and uses gravity to fill the boiler.
The Blossom is also really pretty to look at. You’d expect such a thing from a guy who spent time at Apple working on the iPad and Joey Roth, lead designer, whose Sorapot Teapot and ceramic speakers have won him awards for excellency in product design.
If I had 11 grand to blow on a coffee machine I’d probably grab The Blossom. Available in materials such as Mahogany, Walnut, Sapele, Teak, and Zebrawood, The Blossom can be matched very easily to your kitchen cabinetry. If you are interested in purchasing one, they are available to preorder now on the website and will deliver Spring 2013.
