The new and official Tetris light may just be the most glorious creation retro gaming fans have seen since the Pajitnov classic made its way onto the Gamboy in 1989 (yup, we’re getting old).
How does it work? Simply place any one of the iconic blocks on the power supplying strip to turn it on, after that, each remaining piece will light up as it is added to the stack.
Each single square measures about 1.5”(W) x 1.5”(D) x 1.5”(H), making the opponent burying blue “I” piece of doom about 6 inches long. When combined, the overall size is limited only by your imagination.
Maybe somewhat sadly, each set is limited to only one of each of the seven famous tetromino game pieces. While they may be enough to create the perfect accent piece, the ability to turn your wall into a full-size gameboard is certainly limited.
Good thing there is no limit to just how many of these $47 kits you can buy and combine! The manufacturer insists you’re only limited to your well balanced ability as stacked blocks above five high tend to get a little shaky. Fingers crossed for Tetris light 2.0 – now with magnets!
