Luke, the Fork will be with you . . . always.

If you are even the least bit superstitious, or sentimental, you have a favorite spoon or cereal bowl.

Picture the thanksgiving leftovers swirling in a delightful circle in the microwave sending off scintillating scents of bacon, raisin and sausage filled stuffing.

What could possibly make the setting more delicious?

Then the music starts: bum bum bada bummm bummm bum bum bah bah bummm . . . Star Wars!

The theme’s horns blare through the blood and produce a readiness to battle for the good of the galaxy, or at least to eat vigorously for the sake of the gullet.

What weapon shall the Sith Lord or the Jedi Knight take into dinner?

A lightsaber, or the next best thing: Star Wars Lightsaber Flatware!

Grasp a hold of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and yes, even Jedi Master Yoda’s lightsaber hilt and start pronging bird, scooping mashed potatoes, and slicing cranberry sauce.

Thank goodness I did not find this until now, or many fancy dinners would have been subject to my geeky style.

This Officially-licensed Star Wars merchandise set includes a fork – Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber hilt, 8 1/4″ long, a spoon – Yoda’s lightsaber hilt, 7 1/2″ long, and a knife – Darth Vader’s lightsaber hilt, 8 3/4″ long.

The detail is quite precise and the stainless steel and food-grade ABS plastic materials are safe to eat with.

There are only two downsides to the fifteen-dollar Star Wars Lightsaber Flatware place settings.

For one, the set is not dishwasher safe, which is kind of like, really, in today’s world?

And the second disappointment is that the knives do not emit an actual laser sword with which to carve the turkey.

George Lucas must be holding those design schematics back from Disney.
