The Worlds First Tactical Earphones

These earphones might literally blow your mind. Well, not literally, because they’re not live rounds – they’re just really cool looking earphones.

Munitio, a San Diego based company “specializing in lifestyle electronic accessories,” present a line of earpieces made to look exactly like tactical 9mm bullets. Made from materials like aircraft grade aluminum with Kevlar–reinforced rubber cables and high-density copper alloy, these earphones merge a patent pending technology for noise isolation and brilliant product design.

The earpieces come in a broad range of colors and styles from the classic gold titanium coated finish, to silver, matte black, gun metal with red detail, and even a limited edition flouro green made in collaboration with the video game Call of Duty.

Munitio also boasts a sound quality that is “uniquely Munitio” with a slew of trademarked bells and whistles, like rare earth neodymium 9mm drivers enclosed in a “Bass Enhancing Chamber,” an “Acoustic Sound Flow System” and noise-isolating “Silicone Hollow Points.”

The company offers two lines of their tactical earpieces, the lower price point Billets series, which runs about $70, and the higher price point Nines series, which has an in-line single button suppressor microphone and seems to offer a little better sound quality at around $180. The earphones are compatible with most devices and ship in a really hip nylon ballistic carrying case.

All in all, Munitio seems to know exactly what they’re doing in making an earpiece that sounds great and looks great too, because they seem to be passionate about the culture of music– not only listening to it, but making it as well.

It’s true; I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to put something that so closely resembles a bullet so close to my brain, but all of that has changed with the “first tactical headphones” from Munitio.
