Remember when the Rubik’s Cube first came out, wasting hours cranking the plastic block left and right? The game remains a classic — unlike forgettable spinoffs, like Rubik’s Magic — and has recently met its 21st century match: Sudoku.
Slam the two together and what do you get? Enter the SudoKube.
Stripped of the familiar primary colors, each face of the cube represents one ninth of a complete sudoku grid, numbers one through nine. Instead of simply pairing up like colors on each face, you’re now challenged to place the correct numbers and align them properly.
It makes my brain hurt just thinking about it.
Still, it’d be great to see people on the subway in the mornings trying to work these things out.
