Who knew Johnny Williams was the John Williams?

Well it seems that an up and coming composer named Johnny Williams created some 2 hours and 36 minutes of music from the classic show Lost In Space.

He would later drop the “ny” and as John Williams go onto bigger things such as Jaws, which led to the Steven Spielberg introductions and recommendation of “the greatest composer who ever lived” to George Lucas who would forever cement Mr. Williams as the author of some of the most beautiful and influential music ever created for the movie industry with his take on the Star Wars universe.

Did you know he conducted and created music for the U.S. Air Force Band during that time?

John Williams’ jazz piano name was “Little Johnny Love” Williams, and as a part of Henry Mancini’s band, he played the famous piano riff on the theme from Peter Gunn.
