Friendly Pranks: The Rolling Coaster

This one combines two things that really do matter — keeping friends from ruining wooden surfaces in your common areas (does no one appreciate anymore how much a decent refinish job costs?!), and pranking those friends at every turn. The Rolling Coaster does just what it says: supported by three wheels, the stainless steel coaster will release a stop mechanism as soon as a weighted glass is placed on its cork surface, and away it goes, rolling all over your table. And no, that doesn’t mean it’s a disaster in the making. Once it reaches the edge of the table, a release mechanism is activated and the coaster skids to a halt just before careening off the edge. At £9.95 (roughly $21), hopefully this is enough of an attention grabber that your guests will start seeking out the coaster instead of slamming sweaty beer bottles on your coffee table.

Not recommended for use with wine glasses though, those are a bit top heavy and who knows what kind of momentum you might get going.
